How it works
Device, phone, and only then anything else
Gallen does its work on your phone. Anything beyond that is optional and off until you turn it on.
Step 1: Pair once.
Pick your strap or ring from the list. Gallen never connects to a device on its own.
Step 2: Wear it overnight.
Your device records heart rate, beat-to-beat intervals and motion, even while nothing is connected.
Step 3: Read your morning.
The phone fetches the night and works out sleep, recovery and strain. Recovery appears after four nights.
Step 4: Sync, if you like.
Sign in with an emailed code and turn sync on to see your daily numbers on the web.
The path of your data
Where each piece goes
Solid lines always happen. Dashed lines only happen if you switch that feature on.
Your strap or ring
Records heart rate, beat-to-beat intervals and motion.
Gallen on your phone
Stores the raw data and works out every score. Nothing raw leaves here.
Your account
Daily scores, chart summaries, journal and logged workouts. Sign in with an emailed code.
Web dashboard
Shows what your phone synced. Read-only for now.
Optional AI insights, off by default
From the phone, a compact daily summary goes to Gallen's AI service and on to a large, established AI provider. The reply comes back to the phone.
Simplified on purpose. The privacy page lists every field.
Before you pair
Good to know
A few honest details, so nothing surprises you.
One phone at a time
Your strap keeps a Bluetooth bond with one phone app at a time. Free it from the other app first.
Strap history moves to Gallen
Once Gallen has stored your strap's history safely, it clears it from the strap, so that history will not reach another app.
A ring gets a new key
Pairing a ring resets it and installs Gallen's own key. Its original app cannot connect until the ring is reset again.
